Myrcene This terpene gives cannabis a smell of musk and cloves, with notes of citrus and tropical fruit. Myrcene is an anti-inflammatory, has relaxing and sedating properties, and helps aid muscle tension, insomnia and pain. Scientists believe it could be responsible for the “couch-lock” feeling cannabis provides. Limonene Limonene has a lemony-citrus flavour as it is also found in lemons. This terpene helps improve mood and relieve stress, can kill breast cancer cells, treats gastro-oesophageal reflux, and it’s also known for its antibacterial properties.
